This car is painted and modified in the scheme of a 1967 Shelby Super Snake. It has been Shelby dropped and the battery is secured in the trunk with an aluminum Billet bracket. Ring Brothers hood hinges, billet pulleys etc.
The car was restored approximately 18 years ago and the engine may have been “Shelby hardened”. It has an Edelbrock 4bbl with matching intake manifold on the original 289ci engine. A Pertronix ignition starts the engine beautifully and it rumbles a great lub dub.
A roll cage and racing seat belts provide safety. There is a full size spare in the trunk as well. A Hurst shifter guides the P R N D L. The transmission shifts amazingly smooth for a three speed, lots of torque. the overdrive makes 80 mph on the freeway pleasant and zipping around slow people is a hoot. The side pipes are another nod to the super snake, they get peoples’ attention.
